I can not believe how quick the season has come round.
Lee went away this weekend and spent a nice weekend with John, who forgot his sleeping bag!! As for
the racing his first time to do Delamere and he says its a lovely trail, first rally of the season and came in 3rd
place with 2 of our new pups on the team of 4, then off to Wyre the next day only to come in 1st
place with the same dogs. Lets hope to keep it up.
The season has come to an end, and how fast its come and now gone again. My team ran a couple of races we
did wareham. ringwood, ashley heath and Mark Smith help us out and ran my team at new forest & yateley. As for the Wyedean
Quest - we had a great time. This was a team event so we ran under the Zarchenski banner. Lee ran his team on the friday night,
i ran my team on the saturday morning, lee ran his team on the saturday evening and he ran again sunday morning with his team.
From friday evening we were in 2nd place, but as from running my team saturday morning we took the lead, only by 3 seconds.
With 2 more runs to do we thought the lead would be taken from us, but somehow we kept it. So came in 1st
place for the team event. Matt put on a great weekend and some fab prizes & trophies.
Will be looking forward to that event next year. Although my darling little Tosca (nearly 10) did me proud at the Quest, we
have retired him from racing but will continue to train with him, as he enjoys it too much.

With our 4 new puppies and
our darling new son Kai, we will only doing local races to us for this season. With not much training due to other things
happening on 24th September 2007 we were amazed to fine that Lee took 1st place at Thruxton in DS class.
Lee took the dogs to the Quantocks Rally (SHCGB) only to receive a phone call saying that he's off to hospital by ambulance,
as he was unconscious for about 2 minutes. That was a scary time for me not knowing if he had broken any bones or even the
worse.
The front wheel came loose and threw Lee off the rig, he came round, got up to find no dogs and no rig. The dogs
were picked up further down the track as they had run the forks into the ground. They were fine, no cut feet but the rig was
a little worse for ware, bent or should I say square at the front and the forks had been grounded off. Now its been repaired
and lee was very lucky, so from now on we our wearing helmets.
December has come and gone and so has our event, "South Coast Sleddogs" we had 80 teams entered and the weather was good to us, temperatures were around -2*c up to 8*c. I think all had a good run
even the ones who got tangled, teams without musher? And those who gave lifts? It was very stressful again but all went very
well, we hope to put on again in December 2008, just have to wait for conformation on the date.
This season racing has again come to an end so quick. So the fun is over and maybe you will see us at some
of the shows. To check out the working results please look at the working page.
General News 2007
In January
I found out that I was expecting our first child, over the moon is an understatement. Just not looking forward to the next
9 months.
In July 2007 my world was turned upside down, Kumi became ill, was taken to the vets but needed blood tests to
confirm what the vet diagnosed. The thing was I was 7 months pregnant, and the vet told me that Kumi problem was Toxoplasma
which is very bad for me and my unborn baby. Not only was I worried for my dog which she said could be cured with tablets,
but I fell apart and ended up in hospital and the unborn baby on a monitor. The results came back from the vets, all negative,
so more tests were done all to no avail. Things didn't get any better with Kumi he was getting worse and started to fit. We
rushed him back to the vets to be given more pills and injections. Brought him home and with in 30 minutes of been home fitted
again but didn't come out from it, the screams & cry's from him I will never forget. The hardest decision I have ever
had to make to have my first home bred boy put to sleep. Not copping with the loss of one of my fury children I ended back
in hospital again back on a monitor, all was ok to the unborn baby. I miss Kumi lots and I don't think there will ever be
another even close to him. Take care my boy one day we will be back together. XXX
Our 4 new dogs to our kennel all puppies have just arrived, the 1st came from the Chukotski Kennel Fred

4th came form Nashanessen Kennel Paul & Amanda Keen. All with in a month of each other. All I can say is I wouldn't recommend
it. Check out the links page for their web site's.
Our Son was born on the 24th September 2007 weighing in at 7lb 7oz. Our family
is complete now.
Now just getting ready for 29th & 30th December 2007 as were organizing an event for ABSA. Under the
name of "South Coast Sleddogs" YES I hear you say, god these people are mad, I have often thought that myself.

I decided to enter Kumi into ABSA show,
in April it was just for fun and was just for Sleddogs. The judge was Tracey Pittock and the class was Veteran, he moved beautiful
and stood for the judge, to my amazement he won his class, and then took Best Veteran in Show.
A lovely proud moment for me.

General News 2006
We decided to bring 4 new dogs to our
kennel all puppies, just taking a look round seeing what available and who's breeding, this isn't as easy as I thought it
would be. We knew what lines we wanted it was finding who was breeding these.

This
year I have organized the race at Wareham, and thanks to "Red Mills" for their kind sponsorship, We also have "South
Today" our local southern news reporter Roger Finn off the T.V. is also coming down to films
us, so that should be fun. So Lee is taking this year to run the dogs, this will be his 1st season of competition.
We had
a great day at Wareham and with the film crew from "South Today", we made a few husky people famous for a couple of minutes.
As it was shown on the T.V. one evening, great coverage, and thanks to Hugh Finnagan for taking your dogs to the T.V. studio.
Now the season is over Lee managed to only win the 3 dog Championship with ABSA. Way to go Lee
now we better get more dogs in, as will be fighting over who's doing the racing next year.

This year Tolula came out to play
and had some good results, she was awarded the Reserve Challenge Certificate at Bournemouth Champ
Show, see the rest of her results on her page. Harry also had another good year jumping up to the big boys class "Limit" taking
1st place three times, see the full results on Harry, on his page.
On November 22nd we took Harry to "Discover Dogs" at
Earls Court in London, for which there was a Show for all qualifying "JW" dogs. There was a total of 60 dogs which were split
into 2 rings, 10 from each ring was short listed, then short listed again to 5. The 5 from both ring were put together and
we were very pleased to be in the final line up of 10 best "JW" dogs, from these 10 dogs the Best In Show was picked and the
reserve, you could not deny the Pointer and a Bearded Collie of this award. Just to say it was a cracking day well looked
after by the Kennel Club & Kennel Gazette and it gave us an insight to how it would feel to go on the green carpet at
Crufts for that BIS.
